Anthropic announced Claude Sonnet 5.5 on 28 September 2026. It describes a model aimed at everyday work, including creating documents, presentations and spreadsheets. The company also reports faster output than Sonnet 5. These are the developer’s statements; REVL has not independently tested this model. Read the announcement.

The practical question

The interesting question for us is what happens after the chat: can a collection of useful files move a project forward? Our animation explores a fictional launch event. It shows a written brief, a visual pitch and a budget, all drawn by REVL in code. They are editorial illustrations, not screenshots of Claude, generated deliverables, or proof that a single prompt will produce the whole set.

A brief you could actually check

Before trying a tool, define the shared requirements. For our fictional event, those are 40 guests and a 12 November date. The budget uses $25 per guest, giving a $1,000 total. Those are illustrative inputs, not quoted product prices or real event costs.

Then inspect the outputs together. Does the date match across the brief and presentation? Does the guest count agree with the budget? Do calculations still work if an input changes? Are editable files actually editable? A coherent result needs more than attractive typography.

What this report establishes

This is a sourced release explainer with our own suggested evaluation method. It establishes neither a reliability score nor a speed comparison. We have not verified account-specific access or export formats. Check the current product and your account before planning a workflow around them.

For a useful next step, try one small, representative brief and inspect each deliverable before expanding the job. The opportunity is less assembly work and more time for decisions; whether that happens depends on the outputs you actually receive.
